Florida earned their top seed through a dominant SEC run, but their neighbors in the bracket aren't going to make it easy.

  • Houston: Always the gold standard for defensive intensity. They will guard you from the moment you step off the bus.

  • Illinois: Brings that classic Big Ten physicality. They have the size to match up with anyone in the country.

Expect the South to be the most physically taxing region. By the time a team reaches the Elite Eight here, they’re going to be covered in floor burns and bruises. If you’re looking for a sleeper, look for a team in this bracket that can manufacture points at the free-throw line, because clean looks at the rim are going to be rare.

The Midwest Region: The Powerhouse Collision
